Lenses and Photography Vocabulary.
1. I would use a telephoto lens to take photos at a football game.
2. I would use a prime lens to take highly detailed photos at a basketball game.
3. I would use a wide-angle lens to capture a football halftime marching band show.
Define:
Depth of Field (shallow and wide)-is the amount of distance
between the nearest and farthest objects that appear in acceptably sharp focus in
a photograph.
Light (angle and intensity) factor of light within a photo.
Shadows- depth of light in a photo.
Diffusion-Decreasing the intensity of that light. Making the light softer, altering light.
Exposure - What you're picture actually looks like. Too light or too dark?
Aperture (f-stop) - Inside of the lens, and how big the opening is. The bigger the opening the smaller the number
Shutter speed - Has to do with the mirror inside of the camera and how fast that mirror opens and closes.
ISO - The
sensor inside of the camera, and how sensitive the sensor is to light.
As you increase you're Iso you increase the grain.
